Snow and Stache!

To raise money for Movember Alastair auctioned off the rights to dye his moustache.  The highest bidder got to choose the colour. I thought it would be fun and easy...surely the highest bidder would choose something easy like pink or purple...you know just ONE colour. Nope. That did not happen. The highest bidder decided his stache needed to be the colours of the Irish flag!

Mr. Movember

It's baaaaccckkk! The one....the only Mr. Movember!
We've done a few things to celebrate Movember this year....we raised some money by selling cupcakes...
And got some Movember support from our famous mayor....

The girls really got into Movember too...
Here is Anna in her Ballerina Mustache finest!

Hmmmm...even the fake stache tickles a bit...

Who has the best stache of them all???

It's not too late to donate to the cause! Go to http://mobro.co/adundas to make a donation.

Mirror, Mirror....

Mirror, Mirror on the wall who's the spookiest of them all?
Nothing spooky about this Princess!
Anna decided months ago that she wanted to dress up as Snow White for Halloween. She also decided that Mommy was going to be the Snow White Evil Queen, Daddy was going to be the Prince and Matilda was going to be one of the seven dwarfs...
Here we are...Anna's fairy tale fantasy come true!
Anna also decided the dwarf Matilda was was Dopey...but there was nothing Dopey about this dwarf!

The Case of the Missing Socks

It's an age old question...where do all the socks disappear when you do the laundry? You think you put them all in the wash but when you put the clean clothes away a sock or socks seem to be missing. I have a small collection of socks on top of Anna's dresser missing their pair. I always thought that maybe there's just one stuck in a shirt somewhere. And then I noticed that Anna just seemed low on socks. Where were all her socks?
And then yesterday Anna and I were relaxing on the sofa when she said "Mommy don't look at me". Of course I just pretended not to look and when I saw what she was doing I had to say, "Anna what are you doing?" I saw her taking off her socks and putting them under the sofa cushion! And when I looked under the cushion I burst out laughing.....because there underneath the cushion were a collection of socks!
Silly little stinker hiding all her socks!

The Apple Farm

We had a 4 day weekend for Canadian Thanksgiving so on Saturday we headed to the apple farm! Actually I intended for us to go to a pumpkin farm but we ended up at an apple farm...which worked out well since the poem Anna learned last week at school was about apples!

Our little fashionista ready to go pick some apples!
It was a beautiful day to be outside in the country
Matilda was excited to go on a wagon ride!
She also enjoyed walking around the orchard
Anna ran from tree to tree picking apples
And got a lift from Daddy to reach the really high ones. I'm not sure which she enjoyed more...picking the apples or eating the apples she picked!
Then it was off to the petting zoo where we got piggy kisses
Made friends with the sheep
I think Anna would have taken this one home!
She said this one's fur was really thick
And Anna insisted that next time we bring carrots to feed the horse!
And before the day was done a quick stop in the field of pumpkins!
