It's a Scot's life for ME!

Our luggage finally made it to Edinburgh Airport (after their original flight was cancelled) so we were finally able to put Anna in her winter clothes and turn her into a true wee lass!

Anna got to experience playing in the the snow for the first time...she loved walking on it and hearing the crunching sound!

Building her first snowman and then.....

giving that snowman a good lick to see what it taste like!

Sitting in the same chair her Daddy had at her age...

And enjoying her first wee dram! Not to worry the lid is on and the glazed look is not from the whiskey!

Anna also got her first bite of a Tunnock's Tea Cake...it was a big hit!
Then we were off to the Glasgow Science Center ....
What girl doesn't love a mirror!?
Learning about the force of air...

Playing with Legos with some of her cousins...

Happy Christmas!

After a week of will we or won't we be able to travel to the UK for Christmas I am happy to say that none of our flights were cancelled and we all arrived safely in Scotland on Christmas Eve. Our luggage however decided to stay a few extra days at Heathrow Airport.....actually it was Heathrow that turned into the Grinch that stole luggage when they decided to not send any luggage for passengers on our flight! Our bags are scheduled to land at Edinburgh Airport this afternoon...keep your fingers crossed that our bags don't miss their flight!

Having fun on the slide at the Nashville Airport

Whheeeeeee!!!

A snowy Scotland makes for a picture perfect white Christmas

Anna has been getting lots of kisses from her new friend Charlie!

Merry Christmas!

Rock Star

Future drummer girl? While out Christmas shopping this weekend Anna became very attached to this Rock Band drum set. So attached that she had a mini meltdown when we left the store!

We got our first snow of the season today! Time to break out the hat and mittens! Please note the scotsman is wearing no coat, no hat - just a T-shirt!
Brrrrr........the snow is falling and the wind chill makes the temps feel about 13F!

When life hands you lemons...

When life hands you lemons don't make lemonade - give the lemon to your kid and watch many moments of pure joy. While eating out a while ago, Anna was getting a bit restless. She kept trying to get the lemon off my water glass and after a while I finally gave in thinking she would take one lick and the lemon would be thrown to the floor. Anna took a lick, her face puckered up from the tartness, and then she grinned a big grin....Anna could not get enough of her lemon. She loves the sour tartness and it's turned into our new favorite restaurant game!

It works with limes too!

One box, two box, three

Anna loves boxes...this box was nice but large...
Hmmm....this box is fun but still big...

This box might be too small...

Definately too small....
This box was just right!

Anna has always loved a game of peek a boo...but now her favorite peek a boo is at the dinner table!

Busy as a Bee

We were as busy as a bees this past weekend...Auntie Lyn flew into town on Friday and the fun started the minute her plane touched the ground. To start the Halloween weekend fun we first carved our pumpkins...

Can you guess who carved which pumpkin?

On Saturday we drove out to the country in search of a corn maze...we found one at Honeysuckle Hill Farm. This year their corn maze was a tribute to the Boy Scouts...Last year it was a tribute Johnny Cash!

But it wasn't just the corn maze that brought us here - it was the Hillbilly Pig Races! Seriously -who can resist seeing a Hillbilly Pig Race!?
Anna was very excited for the race and waited patiently for them to begin.
Run pig Run!!!
We fed some goats...
and petted the donkey's nose...
On Saturday night we out for some of Nashville's best BBQ. Anna loves pulled pork and baked beans but she loved playing with her mini Moon Pie the best!
On Halloween we went to the park and played on the swings...

Anna also got to have her first popsicle! But it was only the best for her...this was a gourmet popsicle from Las Paletas, a Nashville original that makes all natural homemade popsicles. Her flavor of choice? Plum!

Next we went to Belle Meade Plantation for some Trick or Treating...
A bowl full of eyeballs is so much more fun than candy!

And even better than a bowl of eyeballs...a ground covered in leaves!

Then for fun we put Anna in her costume from last year - it still fit!
