Meet me at the EX

On Friday Alastair got offered free tickets to the Toronto vs San Jose soccer game (sometimes it's worth it to be the last one in the office!)....the tickets came with free admission to the Canadian National Exhibition so we spent our Saturday at Canada's largest fair (the fifth largest fair in North America).
There were exhibits, shows, concerts (we were greeted by a band playing Elvis! The King Lives!), a working farm, a carnival, horse shows, dog shows, cat shows....and of course it was a fried food paradise - I refused to try the deep fried butter!

There was a section just for kids where Anna got to practice her painting.....
A music room where she got to play keyboards, bongos, drums, and every other kind of noisemaker

Anna also enjoyed dancing in the music room...here she is dancing to Lady Gaga Born this Way! The kids got great taste in music!

The bast part of the fair by far was the petting zoo! Anna was in animal heaven...the funniest part was Anna would just stop and make animal sounds at the top of her lungs...

 We petted the cow's nose....
We petted baby goats and donkeys.....

And we ran all over chasing the baby chickens!

Fun facts at the fair
Alastair wanted to look at the tractor...Anna is pointing at the more interesting animals!
Anna was very excited when she saw this llama...with it's brown spots she thought it was a giraffe or wikki as she calls it...
There were also butter sculptures on display...
 Saturday night at the EX.....

Bubbles, Bones and Bicycles

Question: What to you get when you mix bubbles, dinosaurs, a new bike and a visit with Auntie Lyn?
Answer: A fun filled weekend in Toronto!
The fun started when Lyn arrived Friday night...  Anna loved every moment of her time with her Auntie Lyn. While playing in the backyard Anna would grab Lyn's hand and take her for a walk around the yard and point out all her favorite things... the tree, the door to the shed... and the bubbles! I got a bubble machine before we left Nashville - it's the greatest thing ever! Press a button and millions of bubbles everywhere!

Anna likes chasing the bubbles and then popping the ones that land on the grass one by one!
Today we went to the Royal Ontario Museum. They had a dinosaur section that Anna loved - she ran all over the place pointing and saying "Dino! Dino! Dino!".
After viewing the dinosaur fossils it was time for Anna to go on her own dino dig! The museum has a kids section where the kids can dig for their own dino bones!
Anna relaxing in the TeePee with her Auntie Lyn...
The other highlight this weekend is Alastair's new toy - a bike trailer! Anna likes it too...the first time she saw it she said wheels and climbed right in!

Happy weekend equals big smiles!
