One Month Wonder

Matilda is one month old! 

 She's becoming more alert...

and aware of her surroundings... 

 noticing lights and sounds...

 but she's most fscinated by her big sister!

Family Fun

We were lucky to have family for the first 3 weeks after Matilda was born. We had my family here the first week while we were in the hospital and for the next two weeks we had Alastair's parents. Anna enjoyed the visits more than words can say - it was like she was on a 3 week holiday with all her favorite people!

Some of highlights included wearing animal hats from Anna's birthday....

running around outside kicking the ball...

 making cupcakes wsith Granny...

 Even Matilda joined the cupcake making fun!

We searched for the great pumpkin

 and sat on Daddy's shoulders .

Matilda got lots of cozy cuddles.....

and Anna gave and got her share of cuddles too!

Look at Me I'm 3!!!!

Much to Anna's delight it was finally her birthday this week. She's been talking about her birthday for months and there was excitement from the moment she woke up!

When we went into her room that morning we asked what day it was and Anna jumped right up and shouted, "It's my birthday!!"

 

We started the day with a special birthday muffin complete with a candle. 

And the fun fun continued after school with an everything purple theme....purple balloons.....

 purple presents...

 and purple cake!
