It snowed again...and by snowed again I mean in addition to the snow that has been on the ground for more weeks (months!?) than I care to remember. This weeks snow was heavy, wet and slushy. The picture below shows what is becoming a common occurance past our house...the snow plow!
Last nights snow made for a pretty picture but I have to be honest...I am so OVER winter! The white is pretty but I'm ready to be done with the snow, the ice, the snow pants, the snow mittens....
It was beach week at Anna's school this week so and since she missed a day since I didn't feel comfortable driving I dug through some of my old teacher supplies and found my ocean painting stamps...
First the ocean animals...
followed by painting the blue ocean!
An Anna original masterpiece!
We did get outside for a little while to play where Anna climbed to the top of the snow mountain in front of our house. She was very proud of herself for getting to the top all by herself....and the fact that she wanted to climb to the top came as no surprise since lately she has been saying when she grows up she wants to be a mountain climber! Hmmmm...I wonder where she got that idea???
After our snow adventure Anna and I enjoyed this Lemon Yogurt Bread. I have become obsessed with Mel's Kitchen Cafe blog...at least once a week I make a recipe from her website. This week we made this Lemon Yogurt Bread and Anna and I have quickly devouered it...enjoying it after breakfast, lunch, dinner and sometimes stealing bites when just walking past. Yummy!
Anna also makes me laugh every day with the things she says. Yesterday she was pretending to be Anna Fairy Godmother. She was pretending her drumstick was her magic wand and she asked me what I wanted. I asked her to make the snow go away. Anna went to the window, waved her wand and said Abbra Cadadbra! Then she looked at her wand and looked at me very serious and said, "Hmm....Mommy my pretend magic isn't working."
And at least once a week Anna likes to tell us about the things that will happen when she gets older. She'll be taller, She'll be four! But her favorite? Her bum will be big like Mommy and Daddy's! Of course Mommy's "big" bum came in handy when I slipped on the ice a few weeks ago...sometimes a little extra padding comes in handy!
